Benje Patterson provided a recap of Queenstown’s strong economic performance in 2025 and gave a prelude to what was in store for the local economy in 2026. He also highlighted his frustrations with central government relying on Statistics New Zealand’s understated growth projections, and some of the economic costs this could lead to if a step change was not made across the suite of locally provided infrastructure.
